1. Who we are

Play with Coding ("we", "us", "our") is an online platform that offers interactive programming courses, quizzes, completion certificates and casual coding games. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have.

2. Information we collect

• Account data — username, email and password hash when you sign up.
• Profile data — full name you choose to print on your certificate.
• Learning data — chapters completed, quiz scores, streaks, coins.
• Payment data — order ID, payment ID and signature returned by Razorpay. We never see or store your card / UPI credentials.
• Feedback — reviews and ratings you voluntarily submit.
• Technical data — IP, browser, device type, pages visited, basic analytics.

3. How we use your data

• To deliver courses, track progress and issue certificates.
• To process certificate payments via Razorpay.
• To prevent fraud and abuse.
• To improve the platform based on aggregate usage and feedback.
• To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets). We do not send marketing email without consent.

4. Legal basis

We process your data under (a) the contract you enter when creating an account or buying a certificate, (b) our legitimate interest in running and improving the service, and (c) your explicit consent for optional items like reviews.

5. Sharing

We share data only with processors required to deliver the service:

• Razorpay (payments)
• Our hosting and database provider
• Email delivery providers (transactional only)

We never sell your data.

6. Retention

Account and learning data is kept while your account exists. Payment records are kept for 8 years to meet Indian tax / accounting law. You may request deletion at any time (see §9).

7. Security

Passwords are hashed. Payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant Razorpay. Data is transferred over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

Play with Coding is intended for users aged 13 and above. If you are under 13, please do not create an account.

9. Your rights

You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data by writing to support@playwithcoding.com. We respond within 30 days.

10. Updates

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app banner. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
